The main application for ChainSafe is when fitted with the S-1311N shortening links. These links allow you to connect the load cell to the chain in parallel to the load, rather than without having to rig the load cell on the end of the chain the load cell can be used to measure tension in a chain such as a lashing, load binder or tie down or, alternatively, in a chain sling leg.  Using hook or bow fittings, ChainSafe can be used to measure tension or weight on the crane or hoist hook as a traditional dynamometer. The ChainSafe is designed with a weatherproof, stainless steel, enclosure providing IP67 or NEMA6 environmental protection, making this industry-leading dynamometer even more suitable for use in the harshest environments and worksites. The versatile chain load monitoring device has a high speed update rate of 1Hz and the Bluetooth signal effortlessly connects to any iOS or Android smartphone that has the free HHP app installed. This will provide the operator with a real time load reading from a safe distance. The free iOS and Android HHP app will also allow the operator to log dynamic load data versus time or on events such as over or underload and the adjustable alarm will alert the operator on their smartphone if any overload is occurring.
